Misty is now sold. Thank you for your interest.
Misty is moored at Blakeney, Norfolk
Seahawk yachts are well established in Blakeney with several moored in the channel to Blakeney quay. A 17’ trailer-sailer constructed in GRP with a bilge (twin) keel. Boats with a drop-keel may be sailed in quite shallow water. Having twin keels makes for a stable boat for a tidal channel where the boat ends up sitting on the mud at low water.
With a cabin, that may be used overnight for two people, they also provide protection in a sudden downpour or strong winds.
Misty is in typical condition for a Seahawk 17. The age of the boat is not known. It was acquired in 2015 and has been used every year up to 2020 when it stayed in the boatyard due to Covid-19. It winters in a local boatyard.
It was launched early May and the opportunity was then taken to renovate the trailer (see below).
Misty comes with everything needed to sail it, including:
- Jib & Main sail
- Two anchors
- Engine mount
- Fenders & recently fitted rubbing strip.
A 4hp Outboard (2stroke Evinrude) – in need of a service – is available separately.
There is an old, seemingly no longer maintained, website for the Seahawk 17 with a lot of background information.
The link below is to a pdf of the brochure from R Moore & Son (Wroxham) Ltd.
The trailer has been renovated this season. It has a new winch, boat snubber and plastic mudguards. The tyres are two/three years old. Like most trailers the brakes do not work.
Sorry, now sold.
